Eligible patients are encouraged to get their vaccine from end of September and throughout October to ensure maximum protection during January and February.

FLU VACCINATION APPOINTMENTS AT THE PRACTICE FOR ELIGIBLE ADULTS AVAILABLE FROM 30/10/23. PLEASE NOTE A CHANGE IN LOCATION FOR PATIENTS BOOKING AT ELHAM ONLY. YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL BE AT THE SURGERY IN ELHAM AND NOT AT ELHAM VILLAGE HALL.

THOSE ELIGIBLE PATIENTS WITH AN UP-TO-DATE MOBILE NUMBER RECORDED WILL BE SENT A LINK ENABLING THEM TO BOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SURGERY.

YOU CAN ALSO BOOK VIA THE NHS APP OR BY CALLING THE SURGERY AFTER 11AM.

ELIGIBLE PATIENTS

  • Aged 65 years and over
  • Aged 6 months – 64 years with an underlying health condition: SUCH AS:
  • Diabetes
  • Chronic Kidney Disease
  • Chronis Heart & Vascular Disease
  • Chronic Liver Disease
  • Chronic Respiratory Disease – ie COPD
  • Asthma ONLY if using continuous inhaled steroid or previous exacerbations requiring hospital treatment
  • Chronic Neurological Disease
  • Immunosuppression
  • Asplenia or Dysfunction of the spleen
  • Morbid Obesity (BMI > 40)
  • Pregnant Women
  • The main carer of an elderly or disabled person
  • Close contacts of immunosuppressed individuals
  • Children 2-3 years old

Please note: CHANGE FOR THIS YEAR: There is NO NHS flu vaccination for adults aged 50-64 WITHOUT AN UNDERLYING HEALTH CONDITION
