The Folkestone Haven

The Folkestone Haven is a free, safe space for adult residents of the Folkestone and Hythe District to use when they are experiencing mental health distress. The service offers a listening ear, de-escalation techniques and resilience, coping skills and self management development. It is an open access service 365 days per year with no appointment required. Trained Recovery Workers are on site to support visitors to discuss their challenges and to help to safety plan to manage risks associated with their current distress, stress, anxiety or feelings of being overwhelmed. The service is for all adult local residents whether they are currently engaged in mental health support or not.
